Nepal Tour With Poon Hill Trek
This trip is very carefully designed covering all major touristic destinations in the country. In a one time you will experience and witness Nepalese unique cultures, nature landscapes, 6 UNSESO heritage sites, local life style of different tribal groups, an ancient monuments and architectures, breathtaking views of mountains,various wild species, full blooms of rhododendrons etc. We will be trekking 3 days along the alpine forest to Ghorepani Poon Hill(3210) which is the most exciting and thrilling part of this trip. This Poon Hill top is popular for majestic views for Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m), Mt. Fish Tail(6,993m) and Mt. Annapurna(8,091m) mountain ranges and many more other mountains.

Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m), transfer to hotel
We will be waiting you at Kathmandu international airport holding a signboard with your full name so that you could recognize us so easily. When you come out, we will take private car to get 3*** hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Shortly you will do check in and get refreshed. Our tour leader Dilip will explain you about the overall glimpse of our full 13 days tour then in evening we will have a fantastic welcome dinner together at one of the Nepalese famous kitchen which introduces you a very unique Nepalese cuisine.
Day 02 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing & getting prepared
This is the valley where flourished Buddhism and Hinduism together over the centuries. The ancient architectures of Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples are just spectacular. As this is the capital city of Nepal, people live together from different walk of life and ethnic communities. After a breakfast, we start our guiding tour to UNESCO world heritage sites; Kathmandu Durbar square, Monkey temple and Bouddhanath stupa; the major Buddhist sites. Also if the time permits, we do Pashupatinath temple which is the biggest Hindu holy shrine in this Indian subcontinent.
Day 03 : Drive to Chitwan(415m), max 5 hrs
After having breakfast early in the morning, we drive to Chitwan national park. It’s almost 160Km away from Kathmandu. On the way, we could see some of interesting country side local lifestyles and their traditional houses, Trishuli river coming down to the plains from Himalayas and local vendors selling their products. The motor road is in good conditions. Shortly after Kathmandu, we cross the Thankot hill then we climb down to the crystal clean beautiful Trishuli River. We follow this river up to Narayanghadh, from there ends hilly region of the country and we catch Nepalese west-east motor highway. Now we make straight to east getting Sauraha, Chitwan national park. Also we can stop on the way for the short breaks and photography. We do lunch at our 3*** hotel where we will be staying two nights. After Lunch, we do some short hiking around the national park nearby our hotel.
Day 04 : Full Day Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park
Chitwan Natioanal Park was established(1973) and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984 is well known for wildlife adventure of a different kind – jungle safaris, bird watching, canoe rides, village tour and jungle walks.This is the best place to live of world’s endangered great one-horned rhinos as well as the Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, monkeys, and the splendid gaur bison. More than 440 species of birds are found in this ornithologist’s heaven, including the giant hornbill, the rare Bengal florican and the paradise flycatcher. We start our activities by exploring different wild species along the riverside by jeep. Also we take canoe ride to discover the habitat of crocodiles in the river then we visit Elephant Breeding Centre. Also we will take an Elephant ride which is the most pleasant activities in the park. Our last program will be the Tharu cultural dance: A melodious ethnic dance performed by men and women.
Day 05 : Drive to Lumbini(150m), max 4 hrs
After a breakfast we drive some 159Km to Lumbini. It takes max. 3:30hrs. We do shortly check in at our 3*** for the refreshment then we will have lunch as well. After a lunch, we will visit birthplace of Lord Buddha, Mayadevi Temple complex. Around the Mayadevi temple complex, Dilip will explain you about each of ancient archeological monuments including Ashoka pillar, sacred pond, marker stone, and ancient stupas. This Mayadevi temple complex has been world heritage site since 1997. We take a little longer time here as this is most sacred place for all peace loving people because the founder of Buddhism was born here in 623 BC. In Lumbini, more than 25 international monasteries have been built so far. After the Buddha’s birthplace, we will have look some of the most artistic, and charming international monasteries then go back to our 3*** hotel by local electric Rikshaw.
Day 06 : Drive to Ghandruk(1950m). max 7 hrs
Near to Ghandruk, there is the main entry and exit point to Annapurna Himalaya range called Birethanti. The staffs of Annapurna Area Conservation Project (ACAP) will check our all permits and TIMS card there. The thrilling drive 213Km to Ghandruk from Lumbini is just amazing! It takes max 7 hrs crossing several hills, ethnic villages, paddy fields and rivers along the way. We can have quick look of the beautiful Tansen and Pokhara city too. We stop for short breaks and lunch on the way where we can find first class hygienic restaurant. At Kimche we leave our vehicle then we start walking max 45 min to get our hotel at Ghandruk.
Day 07 : Trek to Tadhapani (2706m), max 4 hrs
Trek to Tadhapani from Birethanti is so easy. We fallow the bank of Modi river for some 1.5Km then we do gradual climb crossing the beautiful Ghandruk village inhabited by the bravest Gurung people. We will have so hygienic lunch at Ghandruk with having spectacular view of massive Mt. Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gangapurna, Fishtail and some others. After lunch, really our wilderness treks starts. We make our way through the mix forest of rhododendron and alpine trees. In the spring, we could see the full blooms of rhododendron. So all the hills along the way look like new bride in wedding. After walking max 3:30hrs, we get Tadhapani. You feel so close to the mountain, massive mountains are just front of your eye.
Day 08 : Trek to Ghorepami(2855), max 5 hrs
Today we walk down few minutes to get beautiful stream then starts short climb up. Walking little straight, we get some small tea houses along the thick alpine forest then again starts very easy climb up to Deurali. We will have our lunch at Deurali of the day. We make our way straight along the edge of Himalayan bamboo/alpine/rhododendron covered hills after the lunch. It’s most scenic trail as you could see giant mountain ranges to the north and beautiful hill tops to the south. You really start to feel heaven remains on earth.
Day 09 : Trek to Ulleri (1930m), max 6 hrs
It’s the biggest day for us as we make summit to Poon Hill which is known as the single paradise on earth. We wake up early morning to make our way for the Poon Hill. It’s almost 1 hour very slowly to be there from the hotel we are staying. We will have excellent sunrise view overDhaulagiri(8167m),AnnapurnaI(8091m),AnnapurnaII(7937m),AnnapurnaIII(7855m),AnnapurnaIV(7525m),AnnapurnaSouth(7,219),Nilgiri(6940m),Tukuche(6920m),Lamjung Himal(6931m) and other mountains. To be there is having the full view of massive mountain range, just breathtaking! You really feel you are on Shangrila. After spending max 1 and half hours, we back down to hotel for breakfast and then take descending to Ulleri village.
Day 10 : Drive back to Pokhara (1030), max 3 hrs
After the breakfast, we drive back to Pokhara, one of the naturally and culturally most beautiful town in Nepal. The private drive takes max 3 hrs. We will have lunch at Pokhara then we make some tour to Pokhara’s top most touristic destinations. At the evening, we will have dinner at Lake View Resort, just side of massive Fewa lake where we can have enjoy of different Nepalese cultural dances, folk tunes and songs.
11: Pokhara sightseeing
Pokhara is famous for sightseeing, mountain views and many adventurous outdoor activities. We will touring following beautiful places:
1.Devis fall – It is known as Patale Chhango (waterfall), situated about 2 km south-west of Lakeside Pokhara. It has got a famous belief that a foreigner named David was swept away and never found from here. It has made gorges and flows through the caves.
2.International Mountain Museums-The International Mountain Museum is a place to get historical information of mountaineering. It includes all information about the highest peaks, climbing activities, lifestyle in the Himalayas and challenges.
3. Phewa Lake & Barahi Temple- It is a second largest lake in Nepal and a central tourist attraction in Pokhara. It is also a spot for water fun activities like boating and kayaking. The splendid views of the Annapurna Himalayan range are dazzling from the lake. Barahi temple is a famous religious monument in Pokhara, lies in the center of Phewa Lake.
Day 12: Fly to Kathmandu. (Overnight at 3*** Hotel)
We fly to Kathmandu in the afternoon or early in the morning. We will have a farewell dinner in at Kathmandu. If we take flight early morning, you will have time for last minute gift shopping or strolling around your hotel. Our flying to Kathmandu will give us a incredible views of sky touching Himalayas.
Day 13 : Final departure to sweet home
This is the last day for you in Nepal. Our company staff will take you at Kathmandu international airport to catch your international flight to sweet home. We promise you to meet again in this magical planet Nepal. We wish you a very happy journey onwards to sweet home! Sweet home!!Sweet home!!!.
